iCommunity Labs: the Blockchain platform certifying Estrella Galicia's traceability
Exactly one year ago, iCommunity was one of the winning startups at The Hop Awards, Estrella Galicia's Collaborative Entrepreneurship Program. This gave us the opportunity to work closely with one of the industry's leading companies and validate our technology while proposing valuable new digital solutions.
One year later, the results of implementing a blockchain traceability solution have been outstanding, despite the challenges posed by COVID. These challenges required us to evolve and adapt the technology during the program to help digitalize the distribution and HORECA channels, supporting businesses that have been hit particularly hard by the crisis.
The benefits for the distribution channel extend to every stakeholder in the value chain:

The distributor identified several additional applications and improvements for its business, primarily in inventory, route, and employee management, as well as customer relationships. Meanwhile, 95% of the HORECA sector expressed interest, particularly valuing the introduction of digital delivery notes, which improve relationships with both distributors and the manufacturer.
